A Big Thank You to Our Community Ambassadors! We Cannot Wait to Have You Back for Day 2 |
||
|
As we celebrate 60 years of Notting Hill Carnival, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our Community Ambassadors for your support, commitment and positivity throughout Day 1. It was fantastic to see DAC Adelekan meet with the Community Ambassadors. He was extremely welcoming and took the time to listen to your experiences and recognise the important role you play in supporting our local community.
Special recognition must also go to PC Jayne Richardson, who continues to lead and support the Community Ambassador programme year after year. Her dedication to working closely with our Ambassadors and building strong community relationships is invaluable.
The feedback from Ambassadors was overwhelmingly positive. You highlighted the excellent stewarding throughout the event and spoke highly of the professionalism shown by police officers. Whilst a number of arrests were witnessed, Ambassadors commented on how effectively and professionally officers dealt with incidents when required. Most importantly, the feedback was that there was a fantastic atmosphere across the Carnival footprint, with communities coming together to celebrate our culture, diversity and community spirit. Thank you for everything you do. Your support, engagement and passion help make Carnival safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
Have a safe and enjoyable Carnival. The community serial landline number is being manned 8 am to 8 pm today, please call 0208 217 2363 if you like to flag up a concern. Please call 999 in an emergency and 101 in a non- emergency.
